A Whirly Squirrely Rainy Day
I am so excited to say that I have written my first children's storybook and it's in the process of being published. The title is: "A Whirly Squirrely Rainy Day." The characters are Three adorable squirrels and Momma Squirrel.
The purpose of this story is to teach children, in a fun manner, how to manage those big emotions, and how to problem solve.
Since children learn from what they see and hear, parenting and caregiver tips are also included.
My ultimate goal is to bring joy, laughter, and learning to all readers while also sending a clear message.
About Me, the Author
I have three wonderful grown and married children and several grandchildren, who have brought many cherished memories and tremendous joy to my life. I have provided counseling for children for many years focusing on mental health, emotional, and behavioral issues occurring at home, in a school setting, and in the community. I have also had the pleasure of working with children with special needs focusing on emotional regulation, adaptability, social skills, problem-solving skills, and flexibility.
I am a licensed professional counselor, nationally certified counselor, and licensed behavior specialist. I am also a certified clinical anxiety treatment professional and certified as an elementary and secondary school counselor. I am the founder of Promising Pathways Counseling Services LLC.
